Vitamins & Consultation:
How many vitamins can fit in one pouch?
We have an upper limit of 7 capsules per pouch to minimize the risk of capsules being split or damaged due to overcrowding. Currently, 7 capsules is also the maximum limit for ordering through our website. That being said, our robots have an upper limit of packaging a maximum of 5 different products per daily pouch. So if you have, for example, 7 different products, they will be divided into two pouches instead of one. You will then receive 60 pouches in your roll upon delivery instead of 30, without any additional cost.
My daily dosage of vitamins ended up in more than one pouch?
If your mix of vitamins includes more than five different types of supplements, they will be divided into two pouches rather than one. Our robots also handle pharmaceuticals, so this type of action is enabled as a safety measure to help the customer distinguish which pharmaceutical is which.

VitaMine is precisely what its name implies: a service where you may discover tailored, high-quality vitamins, minerals, and other dietary supplements. Thanks to our consultation, we may create made-to-order daypacks based on your lifestyle, body size, and preferences. To maintain a high level of purity in our formulations, we are constantly updating and adapting the spectrum of ingredients used in our products. All of our products are made in compliance with the local government's criteria for food production and under strict rules. Our capsules and tablets are and will always be made in either the European Union or the United Kingdom. The purpose of VitaMine is to help you avoid stress and confusion caused by the current offerings on the market by reducing the number of bottles, making dosing simple, and ensuring that the product is straightforward and easy to comprehend.
What benefits do I get from a consultation at VitaMine?
We have developed a consultation where, using research and a dynamic questionnaire, we ensure that your specific dietary supplement requirements are met to the greatest extent possible. The consultation provides you with helpful advice and suggestions on vitamins and supplements in smart daily packs, with an emphasis on avoiding wasting money on vitamins you do not need. VitaMine offers a service that is tailored to your body's needs based on your consultation and lifestyle. Obviously, we also want to motivate you to adopt a healthier lifestyle in order to feel better each day.
Can I redo the consultation?
Yes, of course! Our advice is that you redo the consultation if, for instance, your habits, lifestyle, or diet have changed, or if you have experienced any other changes that may happen over time.
When should I take my vitamins?
Whether it's a vitamin, mineral, or other nutritional supplement, you can take it at any time of the day. We recommend consuming the majority of our products with your first meal of the day. However, it may be advantageous to take certain products at specific times to maximize their performance. Specific dose information may be found in the contents section of each product's product page.
Can our bodies absorb all vitamins?
Not all vitamins are completely absorbed by the body. However, taking a balanced and recommended dose of high-quality vitamins and minerals can still have health benefits, as they can help fill any nutrient gaps in your diet and prevent deficiencies. It's important to note that not all vitamin and mineral supplements are created equal, and the quality of the product, as well as the amount and form of the nutrients, can affect absorption and utilization. Therefore, we are extremely selective when choosing a supplier who can match our quality standards. While taking vitamin and mineral supplements may not always be necessary, they can be beneficial for people with specific nutrient deficiencies or those at risk of deficiencies due to medical conditions or lifestyles. In these cases, they can help prevent long-term health problems and support overall health and wellness. Ultimately, whether taking vitamin and mineral supplements is a waste of money depends on an individual's specific health needs and their ability to obtain all necessary nutrients from food.
Why do we need vitamins?
Even with a healthy, varied diet, it can be difficult to get all the vitamins and minerals your body needs. This is because the amount of vitamins and minerals in food can depend on many factors, such as the soil quality where the food was grown, cooking methods, and storage. Additionally, some medical conditions and medications can affect nutrient absorption. Taking daily vitamin and mineral supplements can help ensure that you get enough of these essential nutrients, even if you have a medical condition or are taking medications that affect nutrient absorption.
May I take my vitamins on an empty stomach?
In the majority of cases, we do not advise taking vitamins, minerals, or supplements on an empty stomach. We recommend taking your vitamins with your first meal of the day if you skip breakfast. Taking your products with food and drink simplifies the breakdown and, in many cases, increases absorption, therefore minimizing potential adverse effects, such as those associated with a sensitive stomach. Some products can be safely consumed on an empty stomach, with or without food. We recommend that you visit the product page for each product and read the Contents section for dosing details.
Is it possible to overdose on vitamins?
Yes, it is possible to consume too many vitamins and minerals. Despite being uncommon, this can have negative health effects. For example, fat-soluble vitamins such as vitamins A, D, E, and K can build up in the body and cause poisoning if consumed in massive amounts over time. Most people think that water-soluble vitamins like vitamin C and B vitamins are safe because the body gets rid of any extras through urine. Even minerals may be overconsumed, with iron being the best example of a commonly used supplement with which you should tread cautiously because the healthy range for iron in the body is relatively limited. Both too little and too much iron in the body are harmful. In certain cases, such as with iron, a blood test can be done to assess if a supplement is necessary or beneficial. With VitaMine's digital consultation, you always get the most appropriate, effective, and balanced dosage.
Can I take the vitamins with coffee and/or alcoholic beverages?
We do not recommend taking vitamins with beverages that contain caffeine or alcohol. Caffeine in coffee, tea, and other caffeinated beverages can inhibit the absorption of vitamin D, vitamin B, calcium, iron, potassium, magnesium, zinc, copper, and in rare instances, vitamin A. In turn, alcohol can have negative effects when combined with vitamins, particularly those that aid in mood and sleep. If you plan to use coffee or alcohol during the day, you should take your vitamins with food and water at least one hour before or after consumption.
Why are some vitamins above or below the RDI?
It is usual for dosages to differ from the Recommended Daily Intake (RDI) or the Daily Reference Intake (DRI). The reason for this is that we are a tailored service that aims to provide therapeutically dosed products for a variety of purposes. Individual requirements are not required to align with doses that are computed based on large populations and average needs (such as RDI and DRI). If the aim is something more than just meeting the RDI, the doses may be lower or higher.
How can I determine if the recommendations made for me are adequate?
All of our products and recommendations are developed in collaboration with our experts in order to address your specific needs and match them with the vitamins and minerals you require depending on your lifestyle, food, allergies, gender, and age. If you have an increased deficiency for medical reasons, we recommend that you speak with your physician.
Is it necessary to take vitamins?
Yes, in some fashion! Vitamins must be taken on a regular basis, which is usually done exclusively through food and drink. However, vitamin supplementation is also effective and widely used for a variety of reasons. Vitamins in the form of supplements may be justifiable, but they are also advised for particular groups of diets or lifestyles. Supplements are also frequent among individuals who have specific goals they aim to attain or difficulties they are disturbed by or suffer from.
What can I expect from my vitamin mix?
It relies largely on the vitamins, minerals, and supplements contained in your mix. Some products have a more immediate impact, so you may expect to see a difference fast, whilst other products take more continual usage, and studies have shown an effect only after weeks or months. In addition, it is advisable to consider precisely what influence you anticipate a substance or mixture to have on its entire composition. Certain effects belong to the group for which a subjective improvement should be apparent if the product and dose are effective. It may include, for instance, pain, low libido, and fatigue-related side effects. Other effects (and hence, certain goods) fall under the second group, for which it is subjectively difficult to see a difference. Such topics may include cardiovascular health, bone health, etc. The focus then shifts to the impacts occurring within the body without our awareness. In certain instances, such effects can be followed up with more objective examinations, such as routine blood tests, x-rays, and so on. For more information about a specific product, please visit our product pages or send us an email at support@getvitamine.com.
When can I expect to see an effect from my supplementation?
Consistency is something we continually preach. The longer you continue to take your vitamins, minerals, or dietary supplements, the greater the benefits you may typically expect. We recommend a minimum of two to three months of continuous use to assess outcomes and effects. Some substances, such as theanine, have a more rapid onset of action, whereas many other supplements (primarily vitamins) have more complex and gradual effects due to their influence on enzymes, hormones, and gene expression; consequently, it may take a little longer for these substances to take effect. Additionally, it is advisable to consider the precise impact you anticipate from a product or your blend as a whole. Certain effects belong to the group in which a subjective improvement should be observable if the product and dose are effective. It may include, for instance, pain, libido, exhaustion, etc.-related consequences. Other impacts (and hence certain goods) fall into the second group, for which it is subjectively difficult to see any difference. It may pertain to heart and vascular health, bone health, etc. The focus then shifts to the impacts occurring within the body without our awareness. In certain instances, such effects can be followed up with more objective examinations, such as routine blood tests, x-rays, and so on.
Can supplements substitute for actual food?
No, vitamins will never be able to substitute for a regular diet since they do not provide the body with energy or macronutrients, such as lipids (fats), carbs, or proteins. Additionally, it is vital to consume adequate levels of minerals, which vitamins do not contain. In addition, it is hard to rule out the possibility that the meal includes vitamins that we have not yet discovered.
How do vitamin supplements vary from vitamin sources found in food?
Today, thirteen chemicals are categorized as vitamins, and they are present in nature in a variety of forms, making them dietary components as well. In some cases, the forms employed in vitamin supplements will be molecularly similar to those found in food—that is, they will be identical compounds. In other instances, differences may exist for various reasons. Fascinatingly, the body's ability to absorb a vitamin in pill form is typically comparable to or even superior to its ability to absorb the vitamin in food form. It has been demonstrated that Vitamin D2, which is present in plants and mushrooms, is less effective than Vitamin D3 at increasing the blood levels of the active Vitamin D hormone in humans.
Do my vitamins have an expiration date?
All of our product batches have an expiration date, so we regularly buy new batches and refresh our stock to guarantee that every product is as fresh as possible. You can always find the expiration date on the daily packs if you do not finish your monthly pack within six months of getting the box.
My vitamins give me stomach pain.
To make our products easier on the stomach, we use nearly entirely vegetable capsules that are simple to digest. If you encounter pain, we recommend that you take your mix with food, such as immediately following a meal with a big glass of water. If you continue to have pain, we suggest dividing the contents of the bag into two meals. If you suspect an allergy or hypersensitivity to any ingredient, you can use the exclusion approach and take one product over the course of one to two days.
Can I still take vitamins if I'm on medication?
Medicines do not automatically negate the usefulness or purpose of a particular dietary supplement. It becomes a routine that complements the medical plan for many individuals, although there is still the possibility of unfavorable cross-reactions. By altering absorption, it is also possible to weaken or increase the action of the medicine. A good general practice is to take medications and dietary supplements at different times of the day. Some dietary supplements can have the same effect as a medication, but to a lower extent or with a somewhat different mode of action; in reality, this can result in a bigger impact on the body than was anticipated by the medical plan. If you intend to mix a particular dietary supplement with a drug you use on a daily basis, we always advise you to consult with your doctor first. We might also propose the international resource for medical knowledge, Medscape.com. There, you may independently research the majority of supplements and check for interactions.
I am vegan / vegetarian
Dietary practices that totally omit one or more food categories can raise the risk of nutritional deficiencies. Those who adopt a vegan diet, for instance, are usually advised to supplement with Vitamin B12, as only animal sources offer the more active form of B12. Supplements containing Vitamin D3, Zinc, Iron + Vitamin C, and Omega-3 derived from algae are also frequently recommended. Also, Carnitine, such as in the form of Acetyl-L-Carnitine, and Creatine are popular supplements that are of great interest to vegetarians. In our consultation, you have the option to indicate whether or not you follow a vegan or vegetarian diet; by doing so, our algorithm will take this into account when calculating the most suitable products for you.
What happens if I forget to take my vitamins?
In most cases, forgetting to take your vitamins should not have a negative impact. To achieve the best possible result, we always recommend being as consistent as possible with the dosage. However, because vitamins, minerals, herbal extracts, etc. are not used for the same purpose as medications, a missed dosage never carries the risk of causing negative effects.
Where should I store my vitamins?
We always recommend that you store your supplements in their bags and do not open the bag until it is time to use them. In addition, we advise you to preserve the bags folded up and covered in your VitaMine Box, as some active ingredients are sensitive to direct sunlight. Lastly, the box and bags should be stored in a dry location at room temperature.
I am pregnant or nursing.
If you completed the consultation and stated that you are pregnant or nursing, your recommendation will prioritize that. If you plan to get pregnant or if you become pregnant after your consultation, you may retake the consultation at any time. You may also contact us, and we will gladly assist you in revising the composition of your mix. You may contact us through the support page or at support@getvitamine.com.
My vitamins are difficult to swallow.
To prevent unnecessary ingredients such as binders and also to avoid difficult-to-swallow tablets of a larger size, we and our suppliers have opted for smaller capsules in the great majority of situations; even smaller tablets can be found in instances where they are more suitable. If you continue to have difficulty swallowing the capsules, pouring the contents into food or liquid will work flawlessly. However, avoid combining vitamins with hot foods and beverages, since this might be detrimental to certain supplements. Some individuals find that swallowing capsules and pills with carbonated water is easier.
Can I use vitamin supplements regardless of my age?
The majority of individuals of all ages can take dietary supplements; however, our service is tailored to adults over the age of 18. If you are under 18 and wish to use our service, we recommend that you obtain parental authorization and contact our support team at help@getvitamine.com.

Why am I advised to take multiple supplements rather than one multivitamin?
Undoubtedly, a single personalized pill would have been amazing! If we still wanted to safeguard the delivery of clinically effective doses to our clients, it would have resulted in a bigger pill that no one would have dared to swallow. In such a case, the only option to avoid this would have been to produce a pill that was severely underdosed, with fractions of the effective doses for each ingredient. Unfortunately, it had degenerated into a subpar end product that served no purpose. However, there are a few topics that may have fit under such a framework and functioned practically. In this case, we are primarily talking about a small number of vitamins whose clinically effective doses are very small in terms of pure weight and volume, unlike minerals, plant extracts, amino acids, etc., which need up to several hundred milligrams to have the desired effects. In addition, when each active ingredient is dosed in a separate capsule, greater flexibility is provided in terms of dosage timing. For instance, many individuals choose to take Magnesium and Theanine in the evening and Zinc, Arctic Root, and Vitamin D in the morning.
My vitamin pack will run out before my new shipment arrives.

I underwent a Gastic Bypass surgery.
That's fine! As you probably already know, gastric bypass is a type of weight loss surgery in which the stomach is made smaller and a part of the small intestine is rerouted to bypass most of the stomach and the upper part of the small intestine. This leads to reduced food intake and altered digestion and absorption of nutrients. After this type of surgery, the body is unable to absorb certain vitamins and minerals, increasing the risk of malnutrition. This is why vitamin and mineral supplements are vital. Iron, vitamin B12, and calcium are the most critical vitamins to supplement following gastric bypass surgery. Vitamin D3 is also suggested if you do not enjoy sun vacations during the Swedish winter. Nevertheless, this is a matter of individual preference and should first and foremost be discussed with a doctor. During our consultation, you will have the option to inform us whether you have undergone an operation that affects nutrient absorption and if you would like us to take this into consideration when creating your recommendations.
