Why we recommend Magnesium Glycinate
Magnesium is a mineral that plays a major role in the brain and nervous systems, helping people with sleep and recovery. To further reduce the time rest and recovery, we recommend Magnesium in the form of Glycinate. Magnesium Glycinate, or bisglycinate, is a particular form of magnesium bound to the amino acid Glycine, an important neurotransmitter in the body's nervous system. |

Non buffered vs. buffered Magnesium
Our capsules contain 100 % non-buffered Magnesium bisglycinate. This form has been shown to have a higher bioavailability, be extra beneficial to the stomach, and boost sleep and recovery. Our capsules are entirely free from magnesium oxide which is hard for the body to attain. A common problem with Magnesium Glycinate supplements is that it is popular to buffer it with ¼ Magnesium Oxide. The reason for this is to increase the amount of magnesium in the table of content and keep down production costs. Unfortunately, the result of this is a lower quality product since it only contains approximately 35% of the raw material Magnesium Glycinate. |
Magnesium deficiencyLack of magnesium is one of the most common mineral deficiencies today. Magnesium is found in significant amounts in certain food products such as seeds, nuts, pollard, sprouts, soybeans, quinoa, certain fruits, and leafy greens. 2 capsules of our Magnesium Glycinate give at least 200 mg of elemental magnesium. This can be compared to 40 grams of pumpkin seeds, one of the best natural sources of magnesium. Keep in mind that with this formulation with non-buffered Magnesium bisglycinate it is practically impossible for a capsule to contain much more than 100mg of pure magnesium. This is the reason we recommend two capsules a day. |

Glycine advantagesGlycine is an amino acid which is mainly found in food that contain collagen, such as meat and fish. It works as a mild sedative substance for the nervous system. This is the reason why studies show that an intake of Glycine before bed can shorten the time it takes to fall asleep and improve the quality of sleep. Glycine also has the effect of enhancing cognitive performance and reducing the feeling of fatigue in situations of sleep deprivation. In cases where only glycine is used for better sleep, an amount of 3 grams is recommended. If taken in the form of Magnesium Bisglycinate or in combination with glycine rich food, the intake can be reduced significantly. A recommended dosage of our capsules (2) contains 1.6 grams of high-quality glycine. |
